The Highlights: Fundraising founder resources
If you want to know what's going on in Nashville's startup scene, check here for a bi-weekly report about founders, and what they are working on.
This newsletter is powered by a collection of 900+ founders, funders and experts. We are part of a community called StartupNash, founders and funders who share peer knowledge about starting and growing businesses.
Todayβs highlights:
Iβm trying out some new ways to match talent with the community
Events/Resources: Fundraising founders: Iβve been working really hard at providing some partnerships and resources for you at the EC. Come out the 26th and get some free help on building the foundation for fundraising. See below for details.
New(ish) launches:
Tyler Welton launched VibeSec
Brian launched DocDB.io
Founders: stack your team
Since our group is really active, Iβm starting to learn a lot about members, enough to do some talent matching. Hereβs how Iβm doing it:
Find or get matched with recommended experts (or potential fractional/FTE) folks by topic
Choose to add or replace after initial consults
Share your stack (help another founder by recommending great, founder friendly professionals)
Do you know someone hiring? Have them reach out to me. You can also try a preview self-service. Want to try this? β https://form.typeform.com/to/zBd0OL30
It takes 45 seconds and gives me what I need to send you a curated list of people I actually trust including marketers, designers, legal minds, advisors, and builders.
See an example of a stacked team here.
π Fundraising Founders: You're invited to a brand new type of event from the Entrepreneur Center called Capital Sessions. Our second session is coming up this week at the Nashville Entrepreneur Center.
This session is for fundraising founders specifically. We are partnering with Peter Swan (StartupNash member and CEO of Gust) and Chris Sloan (of Baker Donelson) to help you get fundraising ready. This special workshop actually walks you through what funders are expecting you to have ready when you are raising capital.
π The Nashville Entrepreneur Center Fall accelerator applications are open through June 30th. Entrepreneurs apply here. These programs consistently help founders scale their businesses and create jobs.
Recent graduate outcomes:
Secured major financing rounds and pilot agreements
Expanded into new markets and customer segments
Built strategic partnerships with established companies
Hired additional team members
Applications close June 30th. Visit ec.co/accelerators to learn which program matches your business.
