My update: StartupNash continues to be an absolute joy to work on. Over the past few months, Iβve been working on something else, something even bigger with a technical cofounder. Itβs a product called Britepeer to help community managers in any community onboard and connect their members. Community mangers can do something really cool with the info they collect. They can use the metrics to measure their communityβs value, and attract community sponsorship. We are testing Britepeer in StartupNash currently.
Iβve been learning a lot about something folks call GTN βGo To Networkβ Strategy, something I see as very important for marketers now and in the coming years. I help startups and services in Nashville begin their GTN strategy by giving them special paid ways to present their services and new products to our community. Youβre going to hear GTN over the next few years as social media participation changes for brands. This is happening as growing startups continue to find ways to move closer to the customer. Communities are a way to talk directly to customers for iterative feedback.
Communities are already made up of a given ICP (usually related to the topic of the community itself). Paying attention to the overall pattern: Businesses will always go to where their customers spend time.

Member updates:
Wendy Taylor, Taking Charge: Iβm looking for founders or early startup team members who would be willing to do a call to share your experience of founder and startup life as a person with adhd.Β So if you have been diagnosed, or think you have ADHD, or your kid has been diagnosed and youβre starting to think you might be adhd too β Iβd love to talk with you.
Cody Uhls, Daisy Studios: This week I met with a few businesses - a Real Estate Developer here in Nashville about creating new 3D renderings for their current and upcoming projects. The next contact was with a high-profile beverage brand that just launched to build new animation advertisements for their products.
I watched Chris Hefley pitch LLMasaService this week in a room full of experts and investors much smarter and more powerful than me. Think of LLMasaService as a way to publish AI applications on my website quickly with all the safety, compliant, secure and financial guardrails. Chrisβs product gets you up and running almost instantly with AI. Iβm a non-technical founder in the AI/Community space and really see an opportunity to create and publish customer-facing AI applications quickly with LLMasaServiceβs platform. It was great to sit in the room from a customer perspective and ask questions.
Community Asks:
π A member is looking for feedback on a demo video. The primary customer is analytics/consulting/IT companies that work with tabular data.
π A member is looking for someone to talk to them about how university research labs to find scientists find early stage startups, and a good tool to help find research lab email information that would be cost effective across a group of 10+ people.
π A member is looking for people to interview about operations pain points within community startups and SMBs.
π Note from member: The Young Global Shapers - Nashville Hub is kicking off to create social impacts. We are trying to push out a one-question survey to understand what social issue is pressing for Nashville specifically. We are reaching out to see if you would like to fill it out and share it with your network? Appreciate your input!
